Heading back to school can be pretty intimidating... especially if you're an incoming freshman. I'm listing some of the advice I think is helpful for going back to class (hint, one of my tips include not taking it *too* seriously).
But it's worth it, right?
A few months ago I wrote a post about making a lifestyle change (you can read it here), and so far I've definitely had my ups and downs.
Trying to be healthy and fit is hard, which I guess is why they say, "if it was easy everyone would do it."
I'm impatient - this is something I acknowledge and tell myself I'll work on *insert eye roll emoji* - I want results right now and get completely discouraged when I don't see them... meanwhile I'm eating dark chocolate almonds from Trader Joes and wondering why I haven't lost weight in the past two weeks. Sigh.
I've been trying to figure out different ways to get motivated and decided to share some outlets I'm turning to in an attempt to get my butt into gear and fit my old jeans again.
1. Pinterest - I know, I know, how basic. But really, Pinterest creates a great and easy way to find new work outs and get inspiration/simple healthy recipes.
2. Instagram - Some of my favorite fitness accounts are by Kayla Itsines, Cassey Ho of Blogilates, and Emily Sky. These ladies are super motivational - plus they all share great tips on getting in shape every basically single day.
3. My FitBit app - I can track my steps, calories, sleep, water intake which is pretty helpful in this whole trying to get fit journey. Plus, being able to see how many steps I've taken in a day has really motivated me to move a lot more... which has been difficult since I sit at a desk all day at work.
Do you have any motivational tips? Let me hear 'em in the comments!
This battle is is uphill, my friends (but hey, I hear that incline is good for your legs).
