This review is looong overdue. Between moving a couple weeks ago and traveling to New York, my “teatox” kinda got pushed aside.
In my last post about the cleanse (see it here) I was halfway through… talking about how I had no idea how I was going to get through the rest of the “sleeptox” tea because it was so gross. It literally tasted like the people over at Fruiteatox scooped up some dirt from outside their offices, put it in a teabag and called it a day.
But now I can *happily* say that’s over and done with.
I doesn’t get any better. I saw some reviews suggesting otherwise, but I’m pretty sure they had to be lying or their tastebuds just went numb to how bad it tastes.
The “daytox” on the other hand… totally different story. I actually liked it. It did take some getting used to at first but the lemon-y taste was actually pretty good.
So here’s an overarching list of pros and cons on the Fruiteatox 14 day “teatox.”
the “Daytox” flavor definitely grows on you.
It actually does improve your skin… I was skeptical about this, but it totally does. My skin hasn’t looked this clear in years.
I lost a few pounds over the course of using it… although, I’m taking that with a grain of salt because I was also eating better and exercising more + drinking more water, so I definitely wouldn’t attribute that to only drinking the tea.
For a product like this the price isn’t too bad (about $30 for the 14-day sleep and day teatoxes).
“Sleeptox” is nasty af.
It was kinda hard to remember to drink everyday (hence, why the 14-days turned into more like… a month on my part).
the tea bags were kinda thin… what I mean by that is that the loose tea would sometimes seep out of the bag and get in the water. I didn’t mind that much, but I’ve never had that happen with any other tea I’ve ever used.
I would never repurchase the “sleeptox.” It’s not worth it.
The “daytox” is a different story, I’d be more likely to repurchase this one. Plus, it’s nice they give you the option to buy them separately (about $20 for each).
I would recommend “daytox” to a friend… “sleeptox” to an enemy (*kidding*).
What about you? Have you tried this “teatox” or one similar? What are your thoughts?
