In this new segment I'll take five products I've been loving most and share them with you. This isn't necessarily a monthly favorites... mostly just when I have five things I'm absolutely loving.
Here we go...
1. Laura Mercier - Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer $44
First of all, even though this is a tinted moisturizer it gives amazing coverage. I love it because it's not too heavy but it's not too light either... it's the perfect in-between coverage that I love for summertime (hell, I'll probably use this year-round, lets be real).
I got it after hearing so many great things about the brand and searching for products that work for dry-skin. And this stuff, let me tell you, works.
It has a tiny amount of shimmer but it's not overpowering like some products that claim to have a shimmery effect (more like a rainfall of glitter).
It is pretty expensive, but I've had mine since the beginning of summer and there's still plenty left in the tube (the key is using a pretty small amount). I'd say this stuff is definitely worth the cash.
2. Laura Mercier - High Coverage Concealer for Under Eye $29
Best concealer I've ever tried hands down. Here's why:
It conceals under eye circles really well without looking cake-y & it's long-lasting. I've noticed it can last up to 12 hours if you use a powder to "seal it in."
Plus, a little goes a long way. I've had this tube for months now and I'm no where close to needing to repurchase.
3. Shea Moisture - Primer $16
I was worried about this product making me break out because I have extremely sensitive skin, but I've been using it for about a month and a half now and everything is running smoothly.
And it actually works. Trust me, I was skeptical but this product is actually amazing. I notice my makeup lasting an additional four to six hours compared to when I go without.
4. Too Faced - Pink Leopard Blushing Bronzer $30
I'd be lying if I told you I bought this simply for the blush/bronzer.
No, the leopard print is what made me want to buy it.
But, this happens to be a pretty great product. It's also a part of the lazy girl's guide to getting ready... blush and bronzer in one? Perfect.
5. Tarte - Tartelette Matte Palette $44
This has been my go-to palette for the past few months because it's so versatile and the pigmentation/colors just... work. The shadows are easy to blend and last well throughout the day.
This is also just an overall amazing deal for 12 colors that have great formulation and are all gorgeous. Win-win.
