I recently visited Charleston, SC for the first time with my best friend, Carrie. It was the kind of trip where we wanted to go somewhere, neither of us had ever been and we decided to just go for it. We booked an airbnb and a few weeks later, we were road tripping.
The first morning there we ate brunch at a restaurant called Lost Dog Cafe (mostly because they had mimosas on the menu, but the food was pretty good too). Then we went down to Folly beach and walked to the end of the pier. There's something about sea salt therapy, the ocean air just hits you and it's so relaxing.
I heard so much about Rainbow Row, so it was the number one spot I wanted to check out. It definitely lives up to it's colorful, instagram-able hype. Plus, the area in general is so gorgeous.
Some restaurants and coffee shops to note:
O-Ku Sushi has some of the best sushi I've ever had. It seems like it stays pretty busy, especially on the weekend so I'd suggest making a reservation.
OH and Breizh Pan Crepes. Holy goodness, this traditional french crepe bakery has gluten-free options and is amazing. 12/10 recommend.
