I kinda fell in love with Tampa all over again this Spring Break. There are so many great spots.
I’m definitely sad to be heading home but at least I’m leaving with a burn that will hopefully turn into a semi-tan, a stash of cane sugar Dr Pepper, and great memories. Plus, I’ve essentially gained five pounds from all the food I’ve eaten so it’s probably a good thing I’m going home so I can get back to the grind.

I love Clearwater, but I think I’m biased since I was born there. I also look like a lobster but going to Sand Key beach was totally worth it.
We spent a few hours there in the early afternoon and spent the evening in Downtown Tampa at a bbq restaurant then the Tampa Theatre (wondering why I had never been there before, it’s amazing).
I spent a lot of time applying aloe vera… even at a pretty fancy bar we went to after the theatre. #typical.

Spring Break day 2 and 3 were spent in gorgeous Orlando.
I could definitely get used to lounging by the pool for hours every day and visiting Flamingos and Penguins (aka, my spirit animals).
Also, I need to buy about 10 more pairs of these pants because holy-goodness they’re amazing. They’re light-weight so even in the hot Florida heat you’re not going to completely burn up, plus the pattern on these is hella cute.

Day one of Spring Break? Success.
We were able to spend some time at the Plant City Strawberry Festival, then went to the Oxford Exchange in Downtown Tampa which, by the way, is one of my new favorite places. I could spend hours there drinking coffee and checking out all the books they have in stock.
To top the day off we went to Ella’s for dinner. I went straight for the Breakfast of Champions shot (Butterscotch schnapps & Jameson = amazing).
Looking forward to what this next week has to offer!

I’m sitting here in my hotel eating a doughnut from Baby Cakes (gluten-free amazingness) . . . does it get better than this? Seriously, last week I was so stressed out because of the amount of projects that I had to complete and now I’m on Spring Break relaxed as all get out.
I’m a big fan of this vacation thing.
My two goals this week are 1. to not look like a vampire when I go home and 2. continue to stuff my face with gluten-free baked goods.
. . . I’ll work out next week.
I hope y’all are having an amazing start to the week!
